Yvonne van Ulden and Andre Bergs
Yvonne van Ulden and Andre Bergs created Fight AR Performance, an immersive theatre experience of animated augmented reality about the first female MMA champion ever - the Dutch mixed martial artist Marloes Coenen. During Kaboom Festival, Van Ulden presented an interactive live performance with animations based on movements that had been made in the Hand Drawn VR Animation masterclass.
ROZSYPNE by Nienke Huitinga and Lisa Weeda tells the story of MH17 from the perspective of a local Ukrainian woman. It takes place in a field with beautiful, bright yellow sunflowers, sharply contrasting with the disaster that will soon take place. You experience it more and more in passing, which makes it feel even more realistic.
Steye Hallema is a composer, director and inventor. The son of a world champion magician, he seems to perform creative tricks with all kinds of media, making several innovative music videos with his band Steye & the Bizonkid. With his laboratory WildVreemd, he pushes the boundaries of media experiences, focusing on creating Virtual Reality experiences, and their own concept The Smartphone Orchestra.
Abner Preis is a multimedia artist creating social artworks in 360-degree video, VR and AR, using fairy-tale-like storytelling with happy endings. He won the Gouden Leeuw jury prize for best international media project with Eden's Adventure, a VR experience of a small expedition into the history of the media of our time.
